A home may look perfect and even move-in ready, but a home inspection can
uncover issues that are not noticeable to the average buyer’s eye. You are making a big investment, so you want to know the condition of the electrical wiring, plumbing, roofing, insulation, HVAC, and structure.
The building inspector will provide a written report, within 24 hours, evaluating the house’s major systems, components, and outlying areas, including:
Exterior
- Driveways, walkways, grade steps, patios, and retaining walls
- Building perimeter, land grade, and water drainage adjacent to the foundation
- Identify exterior deficiencies that might adversely affect the structure
- Windows, doors, exposed areas of chimneys, rain gutters, and the roof
Interior
- Foundation walls, grade slab, and floor slab, including inspection for water damage
- Exposed bearing walls, posts, piers, beams, sub-floors, chimney, and stairs
- Roof structure, attic insulation, and ventilation
- Electrical, heating, cooling, and plumbing systems
Excluding:
- Radon and Termite inspections are available for an additional fee.
- Environmental testing is not covered by a general home inspection (E.g., Mold, Asbestos, Lead Paint, Underground Oil Tanks, etc).
